Welcome to Who's Laughing Now?, the clowning archive that's been under construction for the past several months! In this archive, you'll find a broad overview of all of the various aspects of clowning, including the overlooked ones. My goal is to figure out how Western society has affected clowning, and vice versa.

WHY CLOWNS?

I've always been exceedingly neutral on clowns. I wasn't particularly fond of them, but I wasn't afraid of them or unnerved by them either. I was aware of them in their positive contexts, and didn't find myself interested in wanting one for my birthday party. I've also found their presence in horror to be pretty underwhelming and overdone. But, again, I've never hated them. And I realised over time that there's a lot I don't know when it comes to clowns. I decided to breach into the world of the unknown and, after all my research, I've come to learn a lot that I'd really like to share.

Hi! I'm Jamie, although most people on the broader web know me as Neo. I'm a first-year college student that's been working on this as my ENC 1102 project all semester. I've been coding in HTML for about three years now, hence my choice of genre. I've always been really passionate about weird topics, and I've been interested in clowns ever since I learned about clowning school being a thing ages ago.
